Get to Know Me

Hi! I'm Jasmine, a writer and photographer working out of New York. In October 2024, I launched a Substack page, under the pseudonym "Girl Genius," and have since accrued almost 20,000 views and consistent readership. My work relies on an empathetic curiosity that empowers me to explore the world through interpersonal communication, love, and travel. I specialize in fictional short story, personal travel essays, and poetic prose. 

As a photographer, my eye is drawn to moments of mundane connection and haunting stillness. I work in 35mm and am honing my skills in portraiture.  Everybody deserves to feel noticed, and photography is the perfect medium to do so.
